BBH Hegarty

BBH Hegarty is a sans-serif font with a single regular weight and normal style. Its simple format makes it suitable for clear, everyday typography where consistency matters more than a broad range of typographic options. Use it when you want one dependable text style across a focused design system.

Best suited for: Try BBH Hegarty for short headings, interface labels, navigation, captions, and concise editorial text. It can also serve in posters, announcements, or basic identity materials when a sans-serif appearance fits the project. Because only one weight is available, keep layouts focused and avoid relying on multiple levels of emphasis.

Design considerations: The regular weight works best when hierarchy comes from size, spacing, placement, or color rather than bold-versus-light contrast. Use larger type for headings and maintain comfortable line spacing in paragraphs. The normal style keeps the system uncomplicated, but it offers no built-in italic variation for marked emphasis or alternate text treatment.

Pairing guidance: For contrast, combine BBH Hegarty with a serif that has a clearly different texture for headlines or longer reading passages. A display face with more expressive forms can also add distinction to titles while BBH Hegarty handles supporting information. Keep the companion family restrained, especially where the layout already uses strong scale or color changes.
