Nunito
Nunito is a sans-serif family with a soft, rounded appearance and a broad range of weights. Its approachable forms can suit interfaces, headings, and everyday text where a friendly tone is useful. With normal and italic styles available, it can cover both emphasis and regular reading roles in a consistent system.
Best suited for: Use Nunito for website navigation, app interfaces, school or community materials, friendly headings, and short-to-medium blocks of text. Lighter weights can keep larger display text airy, while the middle weights are suitable for labels and paragraphs. Heavier styles can add clear emphasis to titles, buttons, or notices.
Design considerations: The nine weights, from 200 through 900, make it possible to establish several levels of hierarchy without changing families. Reserve the lightest weights for generous sizes and sufficient contrast; use 400–600 for general reading and controls, and 700–900 when emphasis must remain visible. Italics provide a coordinated way to mark secondary emphasis or supporting text.
Pairing guidance: Nunito can work well with a restrained serif for contrast, especially when headings or interface labels need a warmer counterpoint to more formal reading text. It may also pair with a neutral sans-serif that has less rounded detailing. Keep the supporting family limited to a few weights, and let size, spacing, and contrast define the hierarchy.
