Sono
Sono is a sans-serif font with a broad range of weights, from ExtraLight through ExtraBold, all in a normal upright style. That range gives it room to shift from light supporting text to stronger headings while keeping the overall system consistent. Its variable format may also allow more finely tuned weight adjustments where supported.
Best suited for: Use Sono for interface labels, navigation, editorial headings, posters, presentations, and branding systems that need several levels of emphasis. Lighter settings can keep secondary information quiet, while medium and heavier weights can bring structure to titles, buttons, and short calls to action.
Design considerations: The seven available weights make hierarchy easy to build without changing families. Try 200 or 300 for restrained display text, 400 or 500 for general reading and interface copy, and 600–800 when a heading or label needs more visual force. Since only the normal style is supplied, use weight and size rather than italics for contrast.
Pairing guidance: Sono can work with a serif that adds a clear text-oriented contrast, especially for longer reading passages or editorial layouts. It can also pair with a quieter sans-serif when Sono is reserved for headings and controls. Keep the companion family modest in personality, and let differences in width, size, or weight establish the hierarchy.
