Telex
Telex is a sans-serif typeface with a single regular weight and normal style. Its uncomplicated structure makes it suited to text that needs clear, steady presentation without multiple typographic variations. With Latin and Latin-ext subsets supplied, it can serve a range of projects that need a clean sans-serif foundation.
Best suited for: Use Telex for short articles, interface labels, navigation, event details, simple brand materials, and everyday digital text. It can also work well in captions or supporting copy where a consistent, readable sans-serif appearance is more important than dramatic contrast or expressive display styling.
Design considerations: Because only weight 400 is available, plan layouts around size, spacing, and hierarchy rather than bold or light variations. Use scale, color, or surrounding whitespace to separate headings from body copy. The normal style also means emphasis will need to come from layout or another complementary face instead of an italic cut.
Pairing guidance: For contrast, pair Telex with a serif that has distinct proportions and a calm reading texture, especially for larger headings or editorial accents. A display face with a more pronounced shape can also add emphasis in limited amounts. If consistency is the priority, combine it with another sans-serif that offers bold or italic styles for hierarchy.
