About this font

Titillium Web is a sans-serif family with a broad weight range, from a very light 200 through a heavy 900. Its normal and italic styles give it flexibility for both prominent text and supporting details. It can suit interfaces, editorial layouts, and other work that benefits from adjustable emphasis.

Best suited for: Use the lighter and regular weights for interface labels, captions, navigation, and longer passages where a restrained appearance is useful. The heavier styles can bring clarity to headings, calls to action, posters, and short display text. Italics provide a way to distinguish notes, emphasis, or secondary information.

Design considerations: The six available weights make hierarchy easy to establish without changing families. Reserve 200 and 300 for larger text or spacious layouts, since very light text can lose clarity at small sizes. Regular and 600 are useful for everyday reading and subheadings, while 700 and 900 create stronger emphasis. Use italic selectively to keep contrast meaningful.

Pairing guidance: For a balanced system, pair Titillium Web with a serif that has comfortable reading proportions, especially when body copy needs a different texture. A quieter sans-serif can also work for supporting labels or dense utility text. Keep the companion family restrained, and let differences in structure, weight, or italic use create a clear hierarchy.
