Zain
Zain is a sans-serif font family with a broad weight range, from 200 through 900, and both normal and italic styles. That range gives it room to move from light, airy text to much stronger display emphasis. With Arabic and Latin subsets supplied, it may be useful for projects that bring these writing systems together.
Best suited for: Use Zain for interface labels, editorial headings, posters, menus, and identity work that needs several levels of emphasis. Lighter weights can support spacious titles or short passages, while regular and bold weights can help organize screens, pages, and promotional layouts. Heavier styles are better reserved for brief, high-impact wording.
Design considerations: The six weights make hierarchy easier to build without changing families. Use 200 or 300 selectively, especially where size and contrast keep text readable. Regular weight can handle general-purpose content, while 700, 800, and 900 create increasingly strong emphasis. Italics add a separate layer for notes, references, or highlighted terms; use them sparingly when clarity matters.
Pairing guidance: Keep supporting type quiet so Zain’s weight changes remain easy to follow. A restrained serif can add contrast in longer reading sections, while a compact neutral sans-serif can support captions, controls, or metadata. When combining Arabic and Latin text, compare their apparent size and density, then adjust sizing and spacing so neither script feels visually secondary.
